Because the FMF won't want it therefore FIFA won't allow it. End of thread. The only example we have of teams playing outside their countries are in cases where weaker federations are involved ie: Wales- couldn't justify forcing strong clubs like Swansea Cardiff and Wrexham to be relegated to an almost non-existant federation. Monaco- in this case a federation that FIFA does not officially recognise. Possibly Scotland- see Wales.
LOL, okay. ...unless the US annexes Mexico. Bam! Problem solved. Aww, come on. These threads are good, cheap entertainment. Plus I miss "the shelts." Whatever happened to him?
oooooh my what were they doing hanging out in a shady area they must of been really smart tourists too eh?? Mexico isn't that scary just plan on where you want to go don't go to a poor city and then complain about getting robbed ect.
Defensive much? It's amazing how you know without any detail about the incident except what you quoted, that it was 100% the fault of these tourists that they were robbed and that surely they must have been in a poor, sketchy neighborhood.
Right, and the guy generalizing all of Mexico based on one incident is using sound reasoning as well, I take it? That dude is out of luck though, because I'm pretty sure every country in the world has muggings. Well, maybe he can move to the Vatican.
this thread is probably a joke, but i think that in theory this could happen. If someone a group with big power and money like Univision thought that a new Mexico City team playing in MLS might make them a lot of money, they might have the influence to push it through FMF and the Mexican Federation. That is a big IF but in theory a group of that power could make it happen. As far as FIFA is concerned...2 words...Jack Warner. ok wait 2 more...paid off. Univision threatens some tv contracts (already own FMF clubs) and sends Jack Warner a big check it could get pushed through. But this is all fantasy world scenarios, 1 in a million stuff. But big money owner using money in Mexico and in Fifa could make it happen. Personally I would hate it.
