Yes. Besides Jozy, who is already a lock, Adu is our best 21 and under.

    Short answer: yes

Slighter longer explanation: He doesn't have be a world superstar to have a significant NT career.

    Short answer: no

Slighter longer explanation: He has to have a pro career actually playing soccer regularly to have a significant NT career.

it pains me some to say it, but YES.

my thinking is 1/4 to 1/3 of our WC teams will still come from MLS. Freddy can still FAIL in Europe and come back to play in MLS... where I think an older and more mature Freddy would at least be one of the top Americans in MLS, so I can see him getting another 40-50 caps in his career and make a WC squad

    Yes.

Too much talent. Too much time left in his career.

    Maybe 1/4th of a player.

    Otherwise, it's an All-Vagabond team.

Adu is only 20, had strong games against Spain & Argentina, I rarelly saw a weak games Adu with USNT, yet some people already want Adu out. Theres some players that are older with very poor performance ...yet they called to USNT.

Adu is one of the most talented dudes we have in our pipeline. Is he ready now? NO!! Dudes not ready.

He lacks speed, size and seems to be an arrogant team mate. But his touch is World Class. Dudes going through a learning cuve right now. He's talented, but as someone mentioned before, he'll likely do well taking the route Valderama did. Though, Freddy is no Valderamas (dudes 1st touch can never be duplicated), Freddy's talent is more on creating space and getting past defenders.

I imagine ADU playing a significant roll for the nats in the future after he's able to amplify his strengths.

I want to say yes, but the logical part in my brain is saying no. So no, but only at the moment. If he improved his club situation, playing time, and attitude I would probably say yes.

My problem with him is he showed potential while playing for DCU, but after getting traded to RSL his tenure (albeit short) there was negative in my opinion. I remember watching him play for RSL and he was always screaming at his teammates for not passing the ball to him (even though he was heavily marked half the time) and acting like ME ME ME ME. Then he gets traded to a European team and has essentially been stuck in a club limbo ever since. Warming the bench for 90 minutes for the past 2-3 years is not enticing for a call up.

Unless and until he puts saving his professional career ahead of cashing a paycheck at some European bank, the answer is no.

because you answered already, i am not sure what this is about...

I have no idea what your answer is from this. Of the bolded part, not that strikes me as vague purely BS extrapolation..

My answer: The reckless gamber in me says yes. that is all.
