I'm now accepting entrants for the Sheep Draft World Cup, with the draft expected to start before the end of August. Players will be judged on their performance in a single World Cup finals tournament, so for the first time ever Toto Schillaci will be a better pick than Alfredo Di Stefano. As a result of this players will be selectable multiple times but only once per tournament, although an individual drafter cannot pick the same player more than once. Also, the tournament in which the player meets the criteria does not constrain you to picking the player from that year. To give an example of this, if the criteria is "Select a player who has scored in a World Cup Final" you could chose to pick Pele 58, Pele 62, Pele 66 or Pele 70, even though he only scored in the 58 and 70 finals. Each "version" of Pele is only available once, and multiple selections of the same pick will result in the "version" being added to the banned list as per normal. Feel free to ask any questions regarding this change to the standard approach. For those unaware of how a Sheep Draft works, the last all time Sheep Draft should cover the basics. https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/threads/sheep-draft-4-main-thread.1981138/
In again too. Cool to have a new concept, and should be fun/interesting to have the same players from different World Cups on different teams (if that does happen).
There is likely to be only 9 rounds to this (as opposed to the usual 10), as I plan to have a triple round and a double round.
So, you are saying that I could have 4 Peles and 4 Maradonas on my team? Awesome! In...I think (job thing might be an issue - I might have a change in the next few weeks which will make me unavailable).
Only with a partner. I can give it thought, but my work schedule is insane. I'll be available via email round the clock but bs can be a problem.
I always over commit myself but I'm highly tempted by this. I would happily offer to team but my record with these is disappointing!
As evil as you like, although you may end up on the receiving end as well. I'm thinking of a minimum criteria for Sheep, along the lines of a minimum amount of minutes played or games started. For Sheep suggestions? As many as you like, allthough if people start going crazy I may limit it.
Well, if @SyedZada is interested. I sort of have an allegiance with him. If he doesnt, sure. I definitely need to team up. Im sure a lot of people need to team up.
