The Spanish Super Cup 2007 First Leg| Sevilla FC vs Real Madrid CF Date: 11 August 2007, Saturday Time: 2100 CET Venue: Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán That's suppose to be Schuster.... I'm sorry he looks so not like Schuster Sorry also for the lack of info. I've been away so I have no idea what's going on
LOL thats greta nuff said. I dont think the team is ready for this yet. Let's see what happens. Hope we have some good games wed/thurs so we can get some confidance behind us.
He's back No posts lately nuff_said ... was wondering who would do the match threads like last year and here you are -- right on time
What're you guys gonna do without me? I've been sick the past week so I haven't been active much. The team losing left and right isn't exactly helping me feel better though
I took care of the rep for nuff_said. I imagine we will see the true line-up that Schuster plans for the season.
I'd imagine that Schuster won't have a "true line-up"/A-list/preferred 11 and will use rotation much more than we are used to. I do agree though that the Super Cup isn't so much for experimenting and that he will field, what he thinks are the best 11 players for his system, and that we by that will see the strongest Madrid-team even though the cup isn't a priority by the club and the matches are more like test-matches.
Sevilla have both Javi Navarro and Escude out long-term, so they've had to put Dragutinovic's transfer to Newcastle on hold.
Hello sunshine, wonderful thread starter as usual! Yep, with Javi Navarro out, Ocio transferred to Athletic Bilbao, (I didn't know Escude was out, too?), that back line sounds shaky. I expect our forward line to take advantage of that.
Yeah .. First page .. Nice lookign thread nuff .. Anyway, who deserves to start this game ? Casillas, Guti, Pepe, Ramos, Saviola, Diarra, Higuain, Canna ?! .. I guess these guys were the most impressive in the pre-season, so i'd assume Schuster would start with these players ..
Higuain apparently picked up an injury against PSV. He's out for around 15 days and will probably miss both legs of the Supercup. Based on what I've seen in pre-season, I'd go with - ___________Iker____________ Ramos__Canna__Pepe___Torres __________Diarra___________ Balboa_______________Robinho ___________Guti____________ ______Raul____Ruud[returns ]_
Higuain getting injured is a big blow, to me! Damn, didn't want to see Balboa starting this match, but I guess it'll be good for him...see how he reacts under that pressure..
if balboa wants to prove that he belongs at RM, this is the perfect time to show us and shuster that. he has impressed so far and i hope he does well.
Sorry but I don't agree with your assesment on Balboa. IMO he hasn imppresed at all. He can't drible he can't pass, he loses the ball often and he isn't as fast as people claims it to be. So I think Schuster is using him only because he is the only true winger we have. As soon as we buy somene else he'll be relegated to bench or even transfered out.
My thoughts on Balboa are that he definitely isn't starter material, but could be a useful squad player. I don't think he will make any fuss if he's relegated to the bench, and one thing's for sure, out of all the canteranos, he has been the most impressive. I think it wouldn't hurt to have some depth in the squad. Higuain's injury is definitely a big blow, but I think Balboa can step up. He hasn't lit the world on fire, but neither have his teammates [except a certain blond haired Zidane. Ah, I know someone will remind me of this later on ]. Maybe if the Robben deal is done even he will play a part in the Supercup?
I never knew they had this many players injured http://goal.com/en-US/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=375237
Not really. Alves wants out, as he said himself, and Chelsea is interested. He won't be worth half as much if he picks up an injury that leaves him out for 6 months.
