Santarchy DC Saturday, Dec 17 Meet up at 1 pm (place TBA) Join a contingent of SEs and a host of other Santas of all shapes and sizes for an afternoon running around D.C., giving out candy/gifts to kids, and then, later, drinking! We've done this the past 2 years and had an absolute blast. (SE Henry Wilson is back from Iraq so we expect him in 3-D and not cardboard this time!). More photos here. SANTA WHAT NOW? Read the full description of Santarchy DC on their website. It's non political, non denominational, all-ages romp around town dressed as Santa (or other winter creatures). You must be in a costume (wearing a Santa hat is not going to cut it, sorry). Other rules for the event are posted (all to ensure everyone has a good time). Site also lists some places to get costumes and cheap trinkets to hand out (chocolates are heavy to carry and some people get weird about taking food from strangers so stick with non food items). NOTE: They are changing the start point and route this year so check the Santarchy DC Facebook page a few days before the event for final plans (we'll post on our Facebook page as soon as we see).
