Something that should be pointed out is that Inter might go through but they still left coefficient points on the table by losing last night. Which is very unfortunate and kind of shows how the Italian mindset is hurting us, to me it seemed like they started playing after the 0-2 when the result became at risk. Although it needs to be said that these Europa League qualifiers are a bit unfair to us, the opponents might be lower quality but we are often meeting teams that are mid-season or at the start of their season when we are mid off-season.
Inter get Romanian side Vaslui in the Europa League playoff round, while Lazio get Slovenian side Mura 05, who were only founded in 2005. Vaslui lost in the Champions League third qualifying round to Fenerbahce 5-1 on aggregate. They could give Inter a tough time. Mura 05 entered the Europa League in the first qualifying round. They defeated Azerbaijani side Baku 2-0 in the first round, defeated Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia 1-1 on away goals in the second round, and defeated Ukrainian side Arsenal Kyiv 3-2 in the third round, but they didn't actually win either game. In the first game, they lost 3-0 in Ukraine, but Arsenal Kyiv fielded a suspended player, and Mura 05 were awarded with a 3-0 victory. They lost the return leg at home 2-0, and therefore advanced. I don't think that Lazio will have a tough time dispatching Mura 05.
Braga is the strongest team out of the 10 in that group. Comparing the two teams, I wouldn't think that Udinese would be able to beat them. They would've had a chance if they played Copenhagen or Panathinaikos, but they drew the strongest team that they could have. Really, their only hope is if Di Natale is able to score in Braga (who have the most awesome stadium, by the way), and if their defense can hold true at home. If Di Natale shits the bed like he did against Arsenal last year, then, just like in league play, they don't stand a chance.
You think they're stadium is awesome? Other than the "cool factor" of having one end built into a quarry I think it's fugly. The two stands look very utilitarian and cold. I know it's been praised as being some amazing piece of architecture, but I don't see it.
I enjoy stadiums that deviate from the norm. Sure, the stands are pretty basic, but what stadium doesn't have basic stands. Braga's stadium is pretty neat in the fact that it uses the mountain itself as part of the stadium. I'm a sucker for baseball stadiums solely because each one has their own unique element that separates them from the rest. NFL stadiums are generally boring because they all look exactly alike. Maybe not from the outside, but from the inside, they all look similar. Any stadium that deviates from the norm is a good one. I mean, look at Svangaskard Stadium in the Faroe Islands. It's just 15 rows of generic, boring looking seats, but, man, what a view!
udinese losing to braga would be the worst for the coefficients cuz its direct competition with portugal
True, and those 4 bonus co-efficient points for reaching the group stage would be lost for the third consecutive season from Serie A's co-efficient, after Udinese's failure last season and Sampdoria's in 2010.

udinese plays braga on august 22nd then on august 28th. no more handanovic, asamoah, or isla. does anyone think udinese has a chance? their finances are none of my business but if udinese make it to the cl group stage and get the 40 million or so euros even after selling the players like they did, pozzo will have made out like a bandit.
They lost friendlies to Atalanta, Antalyaspor (wtf?) and had a 0-0 draw to Bremen. The only good result is that they handed Southhampton a beating at 4-0. Well looking at their results is isn't that bad. But there were talks that Muriel came in really out of shape.
Well todays the day my friends, Udinese vs. Braga. My prediction will come to pass. I'm never wrong. I want Udinese to win, but they will embarrass themselves with this makeshift team of mercenaries
