So the first derby is on the way. Roma look totally lost. I expect nothing less than a win considering there state and this would be a big 3 points early on. But then again its Roma and there are certainly not a team that shod be underestimated. Hope big Ben can keep the momentum from previous game.

APPIANO GENTILE - Rafael Benitez has called up 21 players to his squad for Saturday night's Serie A Week 5 match at the Stadio Olimpico (kick-off at 20:45):

Goalkeepers: 1 Julio Cesar, 12 Luca Castellazzi, 21 Paolo Orlandoni.
Defenders: 2 Ivan Cordoba, 6 Lucio, 13 Maicon, 26 Cristian Chivu, 39 Davide Santon.
Midfielders: 5 Dejan Stankovic, 10 Wesley Sneijder, 11 Sulley Muntari, 17 MacDonald Mariga, 19 Esteban Cambiasso, 20 Joel Obi, 29 Coutinho.
Strikers: 9 Samuel Eto'o, 22 Diego Milito, 27 Goran Pandev, 88 Jonathan Biabiany.

    Probable line up:

Just saw I posted Samuel in the lineup and not Cordoba and I cant delete the formation or the picture from my post for some strange reason. Sorry about that.

Very balanced and closed, you didn't miss much. We had the initiative early but now it seems Roma are doing better.

Yea, I think Sneijder and Cambiasso are pretty lost so far and our midfield is overrun. Sneijder needs to step it up his been at best average from the start of the season this new role that puts him high doesn't do him any favors. Benitez will need to reorganize things, its not bad but I feel we can do more. A lot of simple mistakes are happening and its giving us trouble.

I have no idea what went on with Chivu there when he got the yellow card and when he was yelling at the bench. I surely missed something, anyone care to fill me in?

yeah, roma actuallly had a good couple of chances to score inside the box, luckly we got in their way and usually deflected the ball, the biggest mistake would be to concede

then the pressure is on us

Oh for god's sake, we narrowly escaped there. Borriello should have scored that.

You didn't miss much. JC went brain-dead for a moment and gave up an indirect free-kick from his own 6. Thankfully Totti blasted it 6 feet over the crossbar. Lots of yellow cards, and we have been anemic in attack. So, of course, Rafa decides to sub out Milito for Muntari and Pandev for Coutinho...

Serves us right! Poor game by both teams. Congrats to Roma. Once again it seems Benitez doesn't have a clue what to do when things aren't going his way from the start.
