    We don't really have any reason to believe either side in this one. The accusation comes from a pretty 'motivated' source, and is timed just a little too co-incidentally to the accounting scandals.

    damn i hate selig

    damn i hate owners

    but i do love baseball... can't say i am huge on players either... just baseball... obviously not as much as soccer, but i still no a great deal more about baseball than i do any other sport

    Friggin Doubleday. Just sell your damn share to Wilpon already for cryin out loud. As if it's bad enough the Mets are dropping back in the Wild Card standings, stupid stuff like this comes out. I love baseball!

    Let's see-the Dolans offer more than $500 million for the Mets in '99, and 3 years later, after 2 playoff appearances and a World Series appearance, which should increase the value of the franchise, it loses more than $100 million in value?

    The Mets are worth about half of the Red Sox?

    Doesn't make sense to me, but then I don't think like Bud Selig.
