St. Louis is so broken down in to areas. Let's keep it. On a map, Section 20 would be "The Northside" 9-19 "The Eastside" 8 "The Southside" 1-7 "West County" Sorry, just having fun. What about "The 1950 End"? or "Borghi's Bleachers"
While your at it, you could base the sections on which high school each group would be most likely to disseminate from...
just saw on Facebook that the DayPints are being moved to section 19. Thereby taking up the whole corner with supporter groups, but not exclusively section 20. Maybe something with "corner" would be appropriate. They haven't built a custom nest for the Chickenhead yet. I'm still a G/A free agent loosely tethered to section 16.
NO! If we're going to roll like that, Section 20 should be called: Kosciusko...?? That's the #20 neighborhood...now where is that.... http://stlouis.missouri.org/neighborhoods/20/ Umm...it's not really a very good neighborhood...please disregard.
Perhaps this week coming up, Section 20 or the Bombdiggity (throwing that out there) won't be QUITE so packed like last game.
Glad that were making the move to section 19 in the corner and yes battra, I believe it'll free up some room in 20 and make for a bigger supporter section in general, which is a good thing. Hopefully we can keep coordinating on chants and etc. And Chickenhead- u and the gang need to move on down where ur behavior is appreciated and get away from the bitching soccer moms in sect 16.
but its kinda fun to annoy the soccer moms. I think when we move down we'll bring several Section 16 members with us. Guys that probably don't know the deal with all the supporters groups. There were quite a few guys and gals that were enjoying themselves and getting into the spirit of the thing.
I am lurking on here. I think the Barracks is a fitting name for us and I wouldn't care if it were used for all of us in general.
Can we make it hip and trendy and go with "Da Baraxx"? We can walk to the stands to Limp Bizkit's "Rollin'". C'mon. It'll be so extreme. X-Treme, even. Now where's my Mountain Dew...
I don't want to make too big of a deal out of this, but from United Knights website: AC St. Louis and the United Knights Written by Administrator Come and join the United Knights in section 20 of the AB Soccer Park Stadium. This section will be entirely dedicated to the UNITED KNIGHTS and it will be painted in black to indicate that this is the home of the UNITED KNIGHTS. For a full schedule of games please visit the AC St. Louis site.To purchase AC St. Louis tickets go to the following link. The group password is ukstl.\ Could it just be they are talking about their little end section of Sec 20? Are they trying to take over the entire section? Do they want us to move to 19 like Day Pints? Is this okay with everybody? And if this is the case, should we just go with it since they are the ones associated with all the noise from our section and support? (even though, contrary to all the pictures that mainly show the UK, we probably equal close to the same amount of people in our section...so far) Discuss.
I'm going to hope that they just mean that end part of section 20 between the stairs and the end of the section. Otherwise, they'd need to double their numbers to fill it up. Then, they can have their area and we'll be immediately next to them for all the shared chanting, etc.
I really hope this isn't true. First, United Knights might be the largest supporters group, but I don't believe that it even reaches a majority in that the remaining groups together are larger then UK. Second, it is a complete slap in the face to the other supporters groups. Third, who wants to stand in a section painted black in St. Louis in July or August?
I was also going to comment on the wearing of black in the middle of summer. I guess they'll find out the hardway. Here's their website, and the portion I took from is at the bottom of the home page: http://ukstl.com/index/
1. This is St. Louis, it's going to be hot as balls no matter what color you wear. 2. Nearly all our games are at night so wearing black won't really absorb that much sunlight which makes wearing darker colors warmer. 3. This whole conversation sounds like a "dont play on my side of the sandbox" session. If UKSTL wants to wear black, let them wear black. If Eads Brigade wants to wear green, let them wear green. Every fan has the right to support their team in the way they choose as long as it doesn't hinder other fan's rights. The actual section 20 isn't even close to big enough to contain all supporters. If club administration is smart they'll start roping off that whole corner for general admission specifically for the rowdy fans.
It's not about what people wear. Look at post #40. It appears they want to take Section 20, the section where ALL supporters groups are located and PAINT it black "to indicate that this is the home of the UNITED KNIGHTS".
You sir are a genius. When I spoke to the ticket office, it was explained to me that Eads didn't have the numbers expected and I'm guessing that the UK do. This'll all work out in the end I'm sure.
