Big red flags with Villa, unfortunate because he's talented. Def good thing Cardona wasn't there, good chance he would have done something stupid too.

This saddens me. No one can defend this guy Villa, when himself is his worst enemy. What an idiot. I guess it is best to leave him off the NT.

Sorry still contemplating what absolute losers Boca behaved like last night.

They had a borderline call not go their way but still had full control of their destiny going into pens. Then their opponent themselves perform the laugh-alympics and only hit three with one of their dudes falling on his tush. And Boca only manages to score ONE.

I'm sorry - if you are only capable of getting one pen in a shootout you don't get to complain, much less storm the opponents dressing room or beat up a security guard (how did Rojo not get arrested for speed bagging that guy?) or destroying furniture....

    So embarrassing.

What a dumbass. After what he's basically gotten away with, you'd think he'd be smart enough to want to stay away from anything that can get him in even a little trouble.

I read today that Villa requested a transfer and it is expected that Brugge will raise their offer.

Yeah, he’s been wanting to leave. I think if Boca had advanced in the libertadores he would have stayed, but now with them not playing for anything but the local league I could really see the move going through. Not only would it give Villa his pay raise, but it would allow Boca to alleviate their economy since they’re not really fighting for anything

Why would they raise their offer after this latest event? If I was Brugge, I'd be looking at different options. Who would want a hot head like this. We can't keep defending this guy. Damaged goods.

they don't care about any of that. He's a good winger so they want him, simple.

They will definitely do due diligence before closing a transfer and I'd be shocked if they closed a deal with Boca while his legal matters (in multiple countries) are resolved.

You have to be on the pitch to be a good winger.

I'd think given what he did last week Boca will be cutting his price and trying to get someone to take a punt on him. I guess one might counter that Villa is worth more and the Brugges offer already bakes in that discount...

Remember the silly red card Barrios got in the final of the Copa libertadores? If that didn’t happen Barrios would be playing today somewhere outside of Russia.

I hope Villa gets all his legal issues sorted out - his agent definitely has his work cut out for him in terms of explaining this most recent incident.

Boca sucks, so at this point they’re prioritizing the sporting aspect over integrity. Frankly, despite his lack of professionalism, Villa is still Boca’s best player. They look soooo lackluster offensively without him.

A lot of speculation that he is going to Moscow.

All in all, for him probably the safest place to go in terms of running away from the law and his past.
