Seb Hines at Middlesbrough

Blackburn would be great move. They are making moves and could be back up next season.

 

Hines extends his contract with Boro and is off to Portugal to join the team at camp.

 

Hines was on the bench yesterday for Boro for their 1-0 opening loss to Barnsley

 

He's been dealing with an ankle injury. He missed a lot of the preseason

 

I thought it might be an injury. This had surprised me the other day. Couldnt find anything over the net about it though..

 

Back in the starting XI today.

 

Maybe this performance could earn him a call up. Doubt it but i can hope

 

Seb Hines has a goal today for Boro.

 

He really deserves at least a call-up... January camp maybe?

 

Thats only for players not in season at the time like MLS and Scandinavian players

 

Yeah I know but I couldn't really think of any other opportunity for a player like him.

 

Hopefully we can clinch a spot in the hex in the next two games. Then we could bring guys like him in for the Guatemala and Antigua and Barbuda games

 

Has anyone ever seen or heard him talk about his interest or lack thereof in playing for the US? Besides being eligible, has he ever said he'd welcome a call?

After two straight league games as an unused sub, Hines came on in the 84th minute for an injured Jonathan Woodgate on Friday. Middlesbrough gave up a 89th minute goal, but held on to win on the road against Blackburn Rovers by a score of 2-1.

 

He has competitive caps with England's U17 & U19, so he'd have to file a one-time switch with FIFA. 2 months looks like the time required for approval. Will take a little bit of good timing to make this work.

 

I'd love to hear more about his style of play and his form this season. I've never seen Sebastian play.
