This kid is everything thats right about Yanks Abroad -- from all I've read you wont find a player who works harder. FAO YA author - the Cheltenham goal was scored with his head, not "one swift kick"
Seb got 45 minutes in Northampton's first pre-season friendly today a 4-0 win. Seb didn't score. http://www.ntfc.co.uk/page/PreSeason/0,,10425~2075084,00.html
Northampton are trying Seb out in defense because of injuries. In their last pre-season game against Kettering he started at RB then moved to CB where he did well. http://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/sport/Hall-or-nothing-for-Cobblers.6419252.jp
He made his first appearance of the season today coming on in the 77th minute of a 1-1 draw with Bury
Seb made his first start of the season, unfortunately it was short........ Northampton manager Ian Sampson told BBC Radio Northampton: "We gave him (Seb Harris) his opportunity but without being disrespectful to Seb he's our fourth choice centre-half. "We decided to go with Seb but it didn't work and we just needed to change it and shore it up in the first half. He deserved his chance but he didn't take it. "We didn't defend how we should do."
It sounds like they are converting him to a CB. I know he played CB in a pre-season game and covered during a league game when one defender was off the field for treatment. I guess he could still play striker maybe they are trying to make him more versatile? I remember reading an article saying they needed "first team strikers" and Seb wasn't mentioned as one of the players they already had available.
A recap of his latest game with Stafford Rangers. He started an attacking move, cleared a ball off the line, and scored an own goal. Rangers lost 3-1. http://www.staffordshirenewsletter.co.uk/Sport/Flowers-still-waiting-for-a-home-breakthrough.htm
Seb's loan has been extended until January 3rd. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/n/northampton_town/9244529.stm
Stafford Rangers want to extend Harris' loan for one more month brining the loan total to 3 months. http://www.expressandstar.com/sport/2011/01/06/tim-flowers-wants-to-keep-loanees/
He is now on loan at Nuneaton Town who play in the Blue Square North (6th division). He will be there for 1 month. Sounds like he also had interest from Luton (5th div) and Oxford United (4th div) http://www.nuneatontownfc.com/ He played as a striker for his debut with the club. One goal was offside and he also missed wide from 10 yards out. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/co...4/droylsden-1-nuneaton-town-0-92746-28166888/
He will be staying with Nuneaton until the end of the season. He scored a goal last week. http://www.bluesqnorth.com/story/0,20970,13041_6807652,00.html
