Got my tickets today. Even though ACB STH's get an exclusive scarf, for some reason our tickets came shipped with the general STH scarf. How does it look you might ask? Well, remember a while back when the Galaxy submitted the preliminary designs and many a Bigsoccer poster expressed their dislike of the "Season Ticket Holder" font included in the design? You guys probably aren't going to dig the new scarf all that much.
no surprize, the voting was back in September and they sent out an email around Christmas with a picture of the scarf
I think ALL STH's got the same scarf... but if you look at the front of your ticket book, it probably has an ACB logo on it as mine has a LARS logo on it. Consider it exclusive. tm lars
Got mine today. They look really nice. I had been told that we would get a riot squad specific scarf but I got a generic scarf. Confused by that.
LOL. It's times like this that convince me the Galaxy FO is working too hard. Apparently when they extended the original deadline for renewing to receive the supporter's group bonuses (the booklet and scarf), they consequently delayed ordering the scarves themselves, so as a result we have to wait it out a few games before the supporters scarves arrive. The good news at least is that Ruffneck are supplying the scarves, which means quality, which means a giant step above the Chinese made atrocities everyone else gets this year.
Why doesn't the FO just do everyone and themselves a favor and give the non-supporters group STH the adidas scarves instead of the Made in China crap that we get every year? Less hassle and WAY better quality even though the adidas one's are probably made in China too, haha.
Well, that would require the FO to be proactive. Quite the valid point, however. The Angel City Brigade ourselves just released a new scarf not too long ago, and it does seem awfully redundant to give us another ACB related scarf a few months later. (And by give I mean add the cost to the overall price of season tickets) I honestly believe right now there's some guy sitting at a desk inside the bowels of the HDC who thinks the fans are actually going to be pleased with the scarves this year. Whoever that guy is, he needs to be fired.
Got my scarf last night when I got picked up at the airport. I'm glad it's longer than last years. Still not sure I like the design, it's so disjointed. I haven't seen the booklet yet but I'm sure it's great.
At least the colors match - unlike 2 or 3 years ago. I have never been keen on the "Season Ticket Holder" idea on a scarf, but was told by my service specialist that it was the preferred design from the voting that took place. I'll never wear it to a match, but that’s just me. Honestly, I think there are people here on BS who design better scarves. I'd love to see a fan-designed scarf contest for 2012.
If I remember correctly all the scarfs one could vote for said 'season ticket holder'. Would of been nice if they had an option that didn't say that and then see if that scarf would of won.
ahh but Im in GA. Stand first 3 rows first half (G score right in front of me) And then move back at halftime (get a better vantage point of 2nd half goals)
the democratic process in action...without chads except there wasn't an option without the words "season ticket holder" the write in option was to email your rep, I did and was told there was "over-whelming" demand for it... ACB and LARS are happy to identify themselves it was felt that STHers could also be seen with pride I think it could be interesting as we will now get estimates or at least indications of STHer numbers...apart from the group photo on the field
or promote that I never have to listen to that biased moron Lalas because instead of watching home games on tv, I go to HDC he drones on..but has never acknowledged the disaster created under his stewardship of Beckham and Rudd he wears a business suit on tv... and another suit for his other job
