Seeing as it is a bit unfair to have the no.1 AND the no.3 keeper on the books the management at Shoe Suede Blues have announced that they are taking offers for the reserve goalkeeper Taylor (Brum). Taylor is a very good goalkeeper with an excellent defense in front of him. Howard is not for sale as he is an excellent goalkeeper with a very good defense in front of him. Shoe Suede Blues has been looking for an attacking midfielder to fill the hole that is now occupied by pricey Simon Davies (Spurs) as he is not in as good of form like he was last season.

Taylor is cheap and I could get rid of Davies to afford a quality midfielder presently on one of your books to give one of you needed help in the shot stopper category. I have been looking for a good midfielder not signed on with someone but it appears that you crumbs have taken the lot.

    Lowecifer out of town

This may not get fixed until Lowecifer gets back and it may not be too important anyway because no one desperately wants these players but the Chelski.xls team sheet is slightly wrong.

It says that I still have Cooper midfield (Wolves) and it wrongly has Inamoto (Fulham) in the defense. I have Colin Cooper from 'boro as a defender and of course Inamoto plays midfield. I dropped Kevin Cooper (midfielder Wolves) when I picked up Inamoto. I had two coopers now I have one (but the other one). who cares really, neither of them gave me any points as they were on the subs bench most of the time.

hmmm... he is a step up from Davies. and cheap. but I was hoping for a bit more of a high dollar player (wish list: someone like Izzet/Berger or higher - are you listening bmw?). I have the funds for Scowcroft if you could part with him.

It really is a shame that all 44 points (ahead of cudicini ahead of friedel - 2nd to howard and van der sar) from Mr. Taylor have gone to waste on my bench. And with that stingy defense in front of him (I mean high-powered Chelsea didn't score on them). I predict many shut outs when they play some of the lower table teams. I can't let him go on the cheap.

what kind of chelsea fan do you think I am? ;)

I think he gets two many negative disciplinary points in the scoring and is not as offense minded.

i've just been through and updated the spreadsheet as best i could...

as i see it, there are 3 cases of player duplication

    1. Rooney (everton), i bought him in error when spectre already had him. i'll be selling him this gameweek.
    2. Keane (man utd) - miko and mst77 both have him. mst77 had him first, so miko should sell him this week.
    3. Savage (birmingham) - miko and paulo both have him. again, it'll have to be miko that sells him.

there might be more that i've missed as well. if everyone keeps posting their entire squads whenever a change is made, hopefully these mistakes will be ironed out. relying on the spreadsheet hasn't worked thus far.

Sorry about Savage, Paulo. I got a new computer recently, and when I went to check the spresdsheet it was all messed up. I didn't see you had him. As for Keane, I don't know how the hell I got him. Somehow someone has transfered Tugay for him(?!). I'll be looking for replacements for these two players immeadiately. But this thing with Keane has cost me 8 points...

did anyone see that my backup goalkeeper...

my backup goalkeeper made team of the week. I think he had 13 or 14 points. I am planning on sticking with Timmy Howard and would love to see a mid level star midfielder take Mark Taylor's place. He won't come cheap but, he looks like he could be the number one or number two goalkeeper this season. no need to match salaries, I have saved some cash.

oh and miko don't apologize for the mistake with savage. twas an honest mistake.

    First transfer of the season

I thought about trying to work a deal with you Paulo but I opted not to tie up that extra bit of cap space in a keeper. I'm picking up Murray's teammate Matt Oakes, I did my best to check that no one else had him yet.

    Out: Murray - Wolves, GK
    In: Oakes - Wolves, GK

    Blockbuster Deal

After much rumors and speculation the Toffees XI and Shoe Suede Blues have come to an agreement in regards to the contract of Birmingham keeper Mark Taylor. The SS Blues have decided to grant the tranfer request of the keeper as he aspires for first team action in order to further his international ambitions. SS Blues manager Paulo remarks: " We are sorry to see Taylor go as he is really in top form, but football is big business nowadays and the fans have really taken to Timmy Howard as our top-choice keeper".

    SS Blues
    out: Taylor (Brum)
    in: Jones (Saints)

    out Robinson (Leeds)
    in: Taylor (Birmingham)

Further details of the trade are expected next week. It is rumored that a highly regarded winger is going to be playing his last game with Toffees XI this weekend, before heading to his new home at Shoe Suede Blues. When asked for a reaction to this rumor the Shoe Suede Blues chairman replied "I haven't read the papers, yet; I can't keep up with all of the rumored potential transfer targets."

further to intense backpage speculation. Toffees XI are finally able to lift the lid on their latest sensational transfer activity. the club's strong links with Shoe Suede Blues were further reinforced today as they announced the switch of midfield maestro Scowcroft.

    IN: Murphy (liverpool)
    OUT: Scowcroft (leicester)

    Paulo (shoe suede blues)
    IN: Scowcroft (leicester)
    OUT: Silas (wolves)

negotiations for a Radzinski/ Nistelrooy swap deal are at an "advanced stage" say an 'insider'.

    Okay,

Sorry about all the confusion the spreadsheet has caused. I'm back from Italy and refreshed. [I had dinner at this pizzeria in Rome where the kid who waited on me was a big Lazio supporter... whom I ribbed about the 1-0 win, I wish I would have given a blustery 0-4 prediction for yesterday!]

I've gone through all the team sheets at CYKI and I think I've got everyone's teamsheet properly updated here:

    Chelski Team Sheets

Please have a look and alert me to any mistakes.

I will start over on the transfer page of the spreadsheet starting today. To make things easier for me in the future please list transfers like this:

    IN: Player [Club]
    OUT: Player [Club]

if you have multiple transfers, show them like this:

    IN: Player [Club]
    OUT: Player [Club]

    IN: Player [Club]
    OUT: Player [Club]

One other thing. To make sure you are looking at the most recent spreadsheet, clear your internet histories. It seems that if the spreadsheet address is in your history folder it just brings up the page you viewed most recently, which will negate any edits I've made.
