I guess I'm behind, but it looks like it is confirmed(?) that FCD opens at home on Sat, April 1st vs Chi. Is this right?
And does anyone know when the full schedule will be released and tickets will go on sale?
Looking forward to my second match at PHP if this is true.
And I'm happy for Houston to get the team but I see this possibly hurting FCD in the long run and it further puts a nail in the coffin of ever getting MLS in New Orleans with the region oversaturated now.

How could a team 250 miles away possibly hurt FCD?

Not funny when Katrina hit, not funny now.

Im sure building a soccer stadium for a money losing propostition is real high on their list of priorities.

Aren't we being a tad oversensitive here?

I'm quite sure that ShockerFan meant oversaturated with pro soccer teams in the Gulf Coast area, not oversaturated as in floods.

I was under the impression that "we" haven't decided if New Orleans will ever get to be New Orleans once again.

They're not spending $3 billion to repair the levies to leave it empty.

Rocket is correct, that is what I meant. As a native, I would certainly not make any Katrina jokes (although you should see the T-shirts that they are selling on Bourbon St right now).
I'm just hoping that the Saints and Hornets return and I believe that they will but it's all up in the air.
At least the Shell Shockers will still play in 2006, at least according to both their and the USL's websites.

I was actually pointing out the pun.
I don't really care if someone makes fun of NO or NOt.
