Add that to the list of things Crew fans complain about. Apparently we own the color yellow or something.
At one point, metallic silver was one of the team's official colors. It was the color behind the construction workers. A red keeper kit with three silver stripes down the sleeves? It'd be fun.
I'd forgotten that Simone Biles was born here. She's be an obvious choice. But I bet that James Thurber kit would be a hot seller, too.
This is a fun game. -A "My Wish" themed Rascal Flatts kit with NCH -A WWE Alexa Bliss kit -A Josh Radnor 'How I Met You Mother' kit -The Twenty Pilots kit -The OAR kit
If that connection is George Schwind, he's no longer in the band. I want to say it wasn't a happy separation, although I could be wrong.
Waiting for FC Cincinnati to do a The National's Bloodbuzz Ohio kit, not realizing the lyrics at all.
Hear me out. It's a stretch but, screw it, let's go for it.... Calvin & Hobbes inspired jersey. Watercolor look with some design inspired by the strip.
We dont......theres only so many colors......but theyre full yellow, basically like us, just a slightly more light/neon shade, and then their secondary color, the dark navy blue or whatever, often is so dark it appears black. This was the choice for a team they knew would eventually settle into its place in the Eastern Conference. I dont care if other teams use yellow, but at least differentiate a little more. I still maintain that the league HQ would not have had Nashville use yellow as their primary color if they intended on still having a yellow Columbus Crew team around. That is what makes me a little more salty about Nashville. And now they have a black secondary kit because of course...
What expert did you consult to ensure you got the logo in the correct spot on the sleeve, because you've really nailed it.
Nashville’s yellow and blue are same as the Predators and what they used since their lower division founding as Nashville FC - how is this so hard to understand?
My beef is their staking the claim to be MLS’ “gold team” when…well, we’re the gold team. To be more precise, we were still the gold team, and they made that claim when they/the league thought we weren’t going to exist soon. As much as we went through at that time, I’m often surprised at how some things like this are treated dismissively.
The social justice screeching that would result from such a kit would be deafening. I vote yes twice.
I'd see where you're coming from here if it weren't for the fact that LAFC is also claiming gold, more specifically Black & Gold. I don't think it's a slight on Columbus as much as it lack of creativity from the franchises and lack of the League Office telling them to do better.
My complaint: Crew Fans: "Man, we have so much history, we could and should be doing so many great original things..." Also Crew fans: "Why can't we have a celebrity jersey like the other teams?!"
There’s also geography—LAFC out on the coast vs Nashville being in the same conference (and drivable for a match/road trip), let alone the timeline of things.
