In an interesting development, Messi came out of the Argie vs Equador match the other day early because, he explained, he was " tired" from all the games he's been playing. The argentine staff agreed that there was no medical issue. But now, suddenly, Tata is saying that Messi took a knock in the game and may not be able to appear in Atlanta tomorrow. Atlanta plays on turf. But I'm certain that's just a coincidence.
Messi rumored to not have traveled. He IG'd a miami pizza place after reports surfaced. Still think Atlanta's defense leaks in 2. 2-2
There are 6 MLS teams that play on turf, 3 in each conference. The ones in the east are New England, Charlotte and Atlanta, all of whom play in stadiums they share with the NFL. Miami closes this season at Charlotte. The ones in the west are not immediately relevant in terms of Messi and may never be: Seattle, Vancouver and Portland.

Do the club footed ones still occasionally play at Olympic Stadium? It's 3x the size of their regular stadium, which could bring the attendance...but then if he doesn't play and they sell the tickets, things have the potential to backfire epically.
The Big Owe - last I heard they still hadn't paid it off from 1976 - now has what's called FIFA " Quality Pro" turf. And since they won't be playing World Cup games in 3 years I think there must be some other reason. I would bet anything that Joey will want to use it to host Miami, and they'll be only too happy to oblige him. I think Leo will get attacked by an Ebola monkey that week.
Since there are so very many smartypants around here and I'm a knuckle dragging dinosaur, I thought I'd toss this out and see what anybody thought: A freind of mine sent me a link to this article, commenting that it's was "nice to see them using AI to write MLS articles" So I read it and, to me, it just seems like bad writing. But what do I know? https://www.essentiallysports.com/s...als-beg-fans-to-not-wear-inter-miami-jerseys/
Union up 2-0 against Cincinnati in the first half. Cincinnati actually seems to be a bit vulnerable all of a sudden. Philly's trying to at least keep the Shield from being a forgone conclusion.
I just turned the game on, the section is right behind the goal, super visible. Fans start to leave around the 21st minute. The broadcast doesn’t show it directly, but you see people leaving in bits and pieces.
I can only hope "fresh pasties" are the English food. Either that, or someone's been hanging out at Dockside Dolls. Edit: The comments didn't disappoint. https://www.reddit.com/r/Columbus/comments/16kmanu/fresh_pasties_in_columbus/
If we would of won tonight or at least got a draw we would be in a much better position this really was a pivotal night in the EC standings
In the battle of the interim coaches, the Revs guy has been in the job for, what, ten minutes? Between practice being cancelled, assistants being fired, players threatening not to play, players walking out of practice and an owner who couldn't care less, it's a wonder NE showed up at all.
