Last match of the season. Just to say we aren't playing for nothing, there is a 7m difference between finishing 3rd and 4th. Coincidentally that's around what the club would have to pay Koeman if he gets the axe. Koeman sounded frustrated with the media and the club in the pre-game conf.

We will be missing Messi, MAtS, and Pedri for the match. This will probably also be Roberto's last game with the club.

4th place will not need to play UCL play off. So this is a friendly match.

Not sure all these folks play in the game at all but beyond Roberto, Dembele is also out of contract next June, so could also be sold (if not finding an agreement to re-sign), it could also be the last game for Junior, Matheus, Umtiti, Neto, Braithwaite, Pjanic, and others (Trincao and Griezmann get mentioned, Puig too, but latter more likely for loan out).

I assume if Messi comes back that Pique, Sergio Busquets, and Alba will all run it back at least another season or two; but IF Messi says good bye, well, there's more to be said for a radical makeover.

Messi, Busquets and Alba leaving at the same time is a bit if a scary thought.

Then again, we are five points behind the weakest Madrid team since pre-2000 and have been heading in the wrong direction for six seasons now, so ....

No Messi mean way less money. It will be much worse. A new Ac Milan is possible.

Agree it will be tough on the field, but why less money if Messi leaves? Most of Barca’s revenue is more or less fixed provided they finish top 4 (which I think they will manage post-Messi, but won’t be automatic).

No universal icon/figure to media, no shirt from Messi plus several things related to him. Even Liga's president begged him to stay last summer. They know they will be heavily damaged if they lose their biggest icon ever.

Difference between finishing 3rd and 4th is 7.5 Million euros ( prize money given by La Liga ) , which happens to be the amount that needs to be paid to Koeman to cancel his contract.

Inui just cutting thorough our midfield like a knife on butter.

Valladolid takes the lead. No way Madrid won't win their game. This is bad news.

EDIT: Villareal take lead over Madrid. Just saw that they are fielding their starters. I guess it's not guarantee win for Madrid.

Pretty awful so far. Eibar with the high light yet we can't take advantage of Dembele and Trincao.

Reading the Madrid forum, they should be down by more than 1 now.

Fully expect to see Albiol score 2 own goals in injury time to hand his former team the title.
