If Hannover don't win this game they are going down.

They may go down anyway, but that's another story.

He's not a Yank, but on the bench for Aachen is former St. Louis-area youth star Vedad Ibisevic, who turned pro after being the national Freshman of the Year in his one season at Saint Louis University.

He's a Bosnian immigrant (I know he's cap-tied to them) and as far as I know never became a US citizen, hence no YA-status.

Hannover are in a real tailspin. I never thought they would play this poorly.

One more loss and Peter Neururer will become the first coaching casualty this Bundesliga season. Hannover really has some good talent on the roster.

Wow. Apparently this team is awful. I'm sure the Hannover execs have Mary J. Blige's song stuck in their head about now .................. "I'm going down ..........."

They won't go down. They'll get someone to right the ship first.

No, they're a decent squad, who have an absolutely horrible coach in Peter Neuerer. How he still ends up getting gigs in the 1. Bundesliga, while someone like Ralf Rangnick is coaching in the the Regionalliga (yeah, Hoffenheim paid him nicely, but still, he should have been picked up by a 1. BuLi squad).

Any word on Steve's play? I wonder if they did even worse after he left, if that is possible.

The Kicker ratings come out on Monday.

Otherwise, you have Freulein96 to rely on (and worship).

Damn, I bet Steve is kicking himself in the ass for signing a new deal (or extension). The lost of Per has been catostrophic. I wish 96 the best but they are going to be hovering arountd the drop zone all season.

Bad times for Steven. He did not play well in all three Bundesliga matches so far this season. Saturday was probably his worst performance ever for Hannover.
In the second half he took a challenge with an Aachen player somewhere in midfield. As a result of that he suffered a thigh knock, so he will be out of the regular training sessions this week.

Given his poor start, a little break (for whatever reason) might be a good thing.

As I said when he signed the contract, I hope they put in an out clause if Hannover goes down.

So said Wally Pip (sorry for the baseball analogy).

And for you non-baseball fans, Wally Pip was the first baseman for the Yankees back in the 20's. One day, he asked his coach for the day off and Lou Gehrig, a no-name at the time, replaced him. Lou Gerhig then went on to make some 2000 consecutive apperances for the Yankees.
