With both Engen & Chapman out, testing the central defense would be a good idea. However, I'm not sure how SBFC will keep track of the outside backs bombing forward.

I'd put Fletcher more central to deal w/ Marta (she's gotten Marta to almost punch her once already and shut her down other times). Long is going to have to pay attention to Seger making crazy runs.

Wow what a huge display of heart! I am impressed! The reports showed an even match as did they last time, but I think this time the score really reflects that. Congrats to the players and organization for the hard fought effort.

Converting the penalty. Casey coming up big. Branam having big saves. Adriana coming in cast and all.

Great win for the girls!! It makes me so happy to see the team finally living up to what I know they can do. Great job Sky Blue! Sounds like Nogueira's goal was sick, I can't wait to see the highlights.

'welcome. Does anyone know who headed Casey the ball - the player in the arm sling and wrapped leg (!)? Not sure if it was Laura Kalmari.

That was Adriana. I think she fractured her elbow last match. Still came in and was able to play.

Did she get a head on the ball, or did it pass her over when it was passed from Kalmari? It's hard to see in the video.

    Added a slow-mo here:[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HubQx9UbXGo"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HubQx9UbXGo[/ame]

The write-up is going with Kalmari giving the assiting cross, so therefore Adriana did not get a head on it.

That is a stunning goal. And it's also good to see Kalmari doing well, getting assists and goals.

Re-watched video again and I swear that ball skidded off Adriana's head, but I guess we'll never know since SB doesn't do much on their home page or twitter and no sportswriter really covers them (well). Anyway, even if it came directly from Kalmari with no stopover, it's a goal of beauty.

Their homepage and Twitter is updated regularly as well as their Facebook. Quite often they will have write-ups, player responses to matches, and match picture up within 24 hours of a match has taken place.

Also BigAppleSoccer is always doing write ups on the team.
