Good match, really fun to watch, and a fair result as I think we had the better of the play even if it was much more even than we are used to seeing. The team's defense needs to sharpen up. And we need to wrap Julie Ertz in bubble wrap so she stays healthy through the Olympics.
Under rated by who? I think that her play has made her the one US player that everyone in the world fears. She is this generation's Michelle Akers and she might end up being even better because she does not seem to have CFS that Akers struggled with for much of her great career. But Akers will always have her beaten on goals and hair. I love big hair and Akers had that in spades not to mention her goal scoring.
I thought the WC match might have been slightly fluky, but I think this tournament shows that Spain is the real deal. Certainly a top 10 team, likely even top 5.
