Yeah it was only marginally better than England V Italy. Extremely disappointing given the amount of quality players on the field. I hope plenty tuned into the other semi though, that was much better.

What are you talking about, England vs Italy was the most entertaining game of the quarterfinals, despite being 0-0. Spain vs Portugal on the other hand was incredibly dull, as pretty much every Spain game has been throughout this tournament. And the number of quality players on the field hardly matters, Snoremany vs Boretugal was the dullest first round game despite being the two top teams from the group of death.
At first I thought you were joking but as I read on I realised you weren't - and that's all I have to say about that.
No doubt. Soccer has this ability to have the dullest games in front of the biggest crowds, for some reason. I mean, that game was simply dreadful to watch.
Agreed yeah. The knockouts have been pretty average. I think people who may be new to game expect big match ups to produce the best the game has to offer, like some other sports. In reality soccer seems to produce the most entertaining games when there is a clear favorite or mismatch. That said I would imagine most people watching are fans already anyway.
