I'm not OCD but I find it highly disturbing the second half of that title doesn't match the right syllable count for the song.
Supporters section has to be called "Piper's Pit", right? "I came here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, but i'm all out of bubblegum"
That's one of the logo's (probably the best, and most well know) that they used during their NASL days. Some others are here: https://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/1376/St_Louis_Stars
I've always been partial to this one (it's 'of it's era' for sure, but think that's why it appeals to me so much):
The St. Louis Steamers name and logo was interesting also. I’m not sure though if the new outdoor team wants to associate themselves with the old indoor club...
Agreed. Overall, great logo. But the disco era kerning and that seeming error on the top star are a bit triggering. Steamers is also, indeed, a good name. Here, the Sockers had indoor (still) and outdoor incarnations, but Steamers, I guess, were just indoor. Might not matter.
I’m not sure those logos were from the days of Disco. The Stars last season in St Louis was 1977 and they moved to California to become the Surf in 78. Those logos were made at least 4-5 years beforehand. If they do end up using the Stars though, I’m pretty sure they will use a modern and revised version of the logo and color scheme.
