I can't remember where I read it but the article said that Sanneh might be leaving at the end of this week to a team in England. Anybody have any info?
He was rumored to be going to Arsenal awhile back but that never happened. So he looks to be staying in Nürnberg.
In another Sanneh thread, I believe posted by olafgb, it said that both Sunderland and Aston Villa were interested in him and that a deal could go through within the coming week. I haven't heard anything else on it though.
no, there were some articles that olafgb had refered to that said nürnberg management were putting a deadline on offers and that they would make a decision on sanneh by the end of the week... assuming the english teams in question made an offer... gotta love football transfers.
It was Nürnberg's GM who set this deadline for yesterday. Obviously nothing happened, but this doesn't necessarily have to be the final word. The first deadline they established was July 17th, now it was July 27th and I think the real deadline will be the official one on August 31st. Nürnberg would still welcome the transfer sum and save the income of one of their top earners.
Every indication I've heard is that Sanneh is happy and would like to stay at Nurnberg who would be happy to keep him. He's adjusted to life in Germany and I think he'll remain there.
Yes, and if asked I'm quite certain he would turn down much more money at a bigger club with a chance to win a championship. Please.
At the bottom of this article, Sanneh is quoted with saying that he'll go somewhere else if it's a good offer but that he was happy in Germany. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/socc/jun02/54255.asp?source=tmj4 Either way, it sounds like things are up in the air.
Read today's YA Germany update and you'll see that Nürnberg doesn't sell Sanneh after another player suffered a torn ACL.
