I prefer to keep the draft thread for picks only. If you only have time to check in and post on that thread then do what you must. Otherwise, let's try to keep discussion here:)

We got off to a good start this morning but it seems we'll be stuck here even if United Forever shows up because I think Scott is away for a while.

As for the picks, I'm disappointed Drogba and Arshavin went so early as both are players I was dreaming would fall onto my lap in the end of the 2nd. Also, I must say we are the smartest bunch as no one has reached like crazy for crappy Malouda:p

I figured I should just take Cesc. If he stays, I'm happy. If he goes, I'll be pissed anyway.

I will say I was surprised that Rooney fell to me at 5. Very happy, but surprised.

I am here. I need to revise though because Arshavin has gone already. :(

Yeah, it was one of those 2 for me. Just felt Drogba had a slight advantage in points per game, and generally better health history over the course of his career. I've had Rooney a few times and never gotten a full season out of him.

Course if Drogba misses more than a match or two at the start, I'll be kicking myself.

I was hoping the injury concerns would have him slide. But, he is already with the team in Germany and may even play a few minutes against Hamburg tomorrow. If not, he'll probably play in the Community Shield and almost certainly in the league opener.

EDIT: And so it begins, Class Acts has just smashed by draft board to pieces.

Hmm, is early second-round a reach? It was either he or Arteta for me...

Not at all, I just thought top 5 where he was going in the other drafts was a little crazy. For full disclosure, I am not Flo's biggest fan:p

Oh, and please don't post player names that haven't been drafted yet.

    EDIT: Torres and Tevez:eek:

I'm here for my two picks to send it around, so Das_Rott and Epikoinos try to stick around after your respective picks if you can so we can swing it around fast:)

Was planning on grabbing Vermaelan with my 3rd round pick, but the striker run scared me into grabbing Gabby. Last year my downfall was a lack of quality striker when Torres went down and Keane went to Celtic, so I wanted to make sure I didn't get stuck this season.

My sentiments exactly, except both Verm & Gab were gone by the time it got to me. Thus, HRod.

I was hoping Rodallega would keep sliding. I had him in my original 15.

5+ hours now I've been waiting:(

Yeah, today has been a pretty lost day. Tomorrow's my last day of real good availability, and then I'll be doing proxies and trying to keep up on the road via iphone.

If folks are going to be busy for large chunks of time during the day tomorrow, a proxy or two sent to another league member would really help keep things moving.

yeah, averaging about 2 rounds a day will eventually get this done just before the season starts, but it really kind of draws the process out.

You guys were flying this morning, I thought we'd tear through another couple rounds during the afternoon/evening. I can understand being away for long periods and having things come up, but if you know you are going to be gone for 10 hours then why not leave a proxy?

Sorry my pick was so late, guys. I've been traveling all day and will be doing this off of my iPhone for the through the weekend. I sent a proxy pick to epikoinos this morning prior to my flight but for some reason it didn't get
made. I'll continue to send proxies when I know I'll be away for extended periods.

No worries, nothing you could have really done about it since Epikoinos has been gone all day too:p

Oh well, tomorrow is another day and we seem to really move along during the morning/early afternoon.

Sorry, I had work stuff come up, then had a game. Pick soon. Contemplating controversial pick.

Stick around, I'm here and ready to go as long as you don't feck everything up for me;)

EDIT: Nasri is a player I've had my eye on for weeks. I think he'll have an outstanding season if he can stay fit.

Was down between Nasri and Berbatov.

Berbatov has to be so frustrating for Man U supporters. Can look so good one day, then worthless the next. I think he might have a good season, but couldn't pull the trigger.
