The good news is that Michael Bradley will miss the game. Toronto’s season will be all about keeping their veteran DPs healthy. They get injured a lot.

We’ll be playing a new formation. It will take a few games to work out the kinks. Our left side will be vulnerable, unless Almeyda has dramatically rewired Vako’s brain. I say again, we will get slagged. Tor 3 : 0 SJE Go Quakes!! Fisher OUT!! - Mark
It's really got me curious what the thinking is to play such light competition leading into our first home game. I can understand playing lesser teams to practice a new strategy or give the kids some playing time but don't you need at least a couple tough opponents to get ready for the real competition in MLS? I really hate to say it but even with Bradley out injured I'm only about 25% confident we'll win this game.

It is curious why we would only have one preseason game vs a MLS team while Toronto’s preseason involved some travel and MLS level preparation against some of the best teams on our side of the country. They also have a game tomorrow, was Sac our last one?
The 2019 Green Bay Packers, coming off a losing season without a playoff berth, entered the season without their star QB playing a single preseason snap. But they beat the defending division champs on the road in the opener and went on to make the playoffs, exiting only one game before the Super Bowl. Before the season started, the star QB offered his thoughts: . . . “If we go out and we struggle, it has nothing to do with playing meaningless reps in the preseason. I really believe that. You’re not facing a ton of game-like situations in the preseason. If we go out and light it up, it’s not because we rested in the preseason. Our performance will be based on our preparation this week. Our experience. And the way we execute on the field and same for them,” [Green Bay QB Aaron] Rodgers said. The biggest difference between practice and the preseason reps are the speed of play. Game speed, especially in a new offense against a top tier defense could provide a challenge for the Packers offense, but Rodgers isn’t worried. “You have to rely on your training. Your experience in situations. Most of their guys haven’t played in the preseason either. It’s going to be both teams trying to get accustomed to the speed of the offense and defense and who can adjust the quickest and make the least amount of mistakes,” Rodgers said. “We will both be ready to play and I expect the product to be good.” . . . https://www.wbay.com/content/news/R...-of-meaningless-preseason-reps-559102131.html
Lol merely asking the question. Maybe there’s a good reason why we would prefer to measure ourselves against lesser opponents, who knows?
We received our STH gift today -- 2 scarves of that thin material I don't wear because it keeps slipping off my neck. I hadn't heard about tickets or parking passes, but i just went into the account manager and found that they are there... I'm a little confused though, Can we still print tickets for both games and parking? The top of the page says: How to Get into the Event Your phone is your ticket. The thin "summer" scarf style is preferable for me, because you can use your belt to keep it at your hip when you're not holding the scarf up during a chant, and quickly retrieve it when you are. I also liked the box the scarves arrived in. Happy to trade you for a thick cotton scarf of some sort from my boxed collection that I have no room to display.
