    RSL keeper David Ochoa:

    Looking at the game tape, i knocked the ball into my own net so that guy (Chofis) didn't have a hat trick.

    It's really hard to decide either way from the game tape, but I wouldn't be surprised if VAR and MLS decided to give Chofis the Olympico and the hat trick.

    Balls deflect off keeper's hands and bodies all the time. Those are not called "own goals". Ochoa is salty he gave up 3 goals.

    Well, it seems to me that I’ve seen quite a few instances in the last 2 yers where MLS changed deflections like that to own goals. So when the play happened, i was mentally waiting for the announcer to say it was an OG. But like I said, it was close enough that it is reasonable to credit Chofis.

    I also thought it was strange that Ochoa had a defender on the near post for a corner kick. I thought most pro keepers don’t do that?
