Toluca has really only created one chance and were able to capitalize on it because it was mishandled a bit and Bernardez did literally nothing to assist on the play. It was a wonderful finish, but it should not have gone uncontested like it did. San Jose has created four chances, I think? Not bad for a team just beginning its season. I'm positive. I will just go ahead and say right now, sometimes it isn't your day. This is some solid play for a San Jose team that people are so easily dismissing as not having offensive bite.
Yeah. I think Cato was monumentally better than Salinas tonight. Question is, can Djalo play on the left side?
fair enough. i just get the feeling that the rest of the year might go something like this game. not every game in mls will have the "must" win feel like tonight. I don't think the 'Quakes will have this kind of intesity the whole season, therefore we'll need, luck, which is not something you want your season to hinge on.
Yeah, us not getting our PK and Toluca not having a man sent off in the first half had absolutely nothing to do with the outcome.
These players can't buy calls to begin with so how on earth is the ref ever going to send off a Mexican? The naivety kills them every time. Stop blaming the refs.
Pierazzi needs to chill himself out. Toluca aren't exactly upstanding competitors, but that's what you expect in a competition like this. The missed hand ball is big, but even still, the Quakes had chances that just need to go in. I'm going to be hopeful and say that sooner rather than later, those will go in. Edit: Called it I also like what I'm seeing from Koval so far. He seems to be better at going forward than Cronin and might be more willing to take shots that actually threaten the goal. He might manage to supplant Cronin if things keep going like this.
