I hope lots of folks just ignore Target for this... I know they just built a new store near my home and this gives me a big incentive for ignoring Target now and shopping elsewhere! Cheapskates!

I actually looked forward to the guys out in front ringing the bells and giving them a donation... now? Cheapskates!

I wonder what prompted Target's decision? Cheapskates!

Outside of the local grocery store (the Co-Op), every year, a seriously annoying woman jingles bells and hollers off-key "carols" to get Salvation Army donations. I'm sure the one or two other people on these boards who live in Hyde Park know who I'm talking about: the "carols" are generally just "singing"/shouting out stuff like, "Christmas, yay, everyone is happy, it's snowing, merry Christmas, let's open presents" without a real melody. She literally does this for hours. She is one of the most annoying characters in my neighborhood.

    Bah, Humbug!

Target's ban is already having an effect. Many local chapters are reporting donations are down. Hopefully things pick up.
