After a nice midweek win at home versus Wolves can Saints pick up another three points from one of the bottom three clubs? Let's hope so since we have given away too many points over the past month or so.

With that said, here is the Saints' starting IX:

    Davis
    Makin-Claus-Baird-Bale
    Licka-Wright-Idiakez-Skacel
    BWP-Jones

Subs: Dyer, Viafara, McGoldrick, Surman, Miller (GK)

Saints have started out strong in this match just like they did against Wolves. I am glad to see this since we have waited until the second half to start playing in most of our matches this year. Hopefully the results will be the same as this past Wednesday.

    0-0 after 8' minute

Saints are really putting the pressure on the Hull goal, but they still have yet to put one in. However it certainly looks like Saints will be able to score at least one today.

    Still 0-0 after 20' minute

Marney with a one man run against Saints result in a corner for Hull, but thankfully to no avail for us. Idiakez is really playing a nice match so far as are the two Czechs, Skacel and Licka.

Hull nearly put one in there from a freekick. Davis just managed to get his leg out to clear the ball off of the line.

Hull are starting to come to life around the Saints net especially off of set pieces.

Still 0-0 after about the 35' minute

Well Saints had the majority of the play during the first half with a couple of close shots that did not go in, but it is still 0-0. All in all there was a whole lot of something going on but in reality nothing was actually happening. Kind of like a chicken running around with its head cut off.

Licka with a shot that just goes wide to start the second half. Saints are still controlling the match, but nothing to show for it so far. No subs so far either.

Saints dodged a huge bullet there with Hull missing an open net on a cornerkick.

A bit of bad luck + a bit of playing down to the club they're playing against.

Skacel just puts another shot inches wide. Crowd is starting to get rather fustrated at all of these close attempts but nothing to show for it.

Marney off for Hull with just under 10 minutes remaining. He seemed to have been the one Hull player that caused us any problems.

    0-0 after 81' minute

Baird with a bad tackle which results in a yellow and a freekick for Hull from about 25 yards out.

Well that is it. 0-0 draw which is the only scoreless result in the Championship. :(

Saints let two more points slip away at home against a team which they totally dominated. Christ we need to get a couple of strikers in January that know how to finish or we are going to be stuck in this division for quite a while. What a disappointing, but typical result for Saints. Now stuck in 10th place 10 points behind the leaders, Cardiff.
