I will be there. Greddy has also made mention of coming down as well. Jeremy, you'll have to bring the banners.
Well, I haven't decided how I'd be going yet. Depending on who else is going, flying might be an option (ATA from Midway to Reagan is about 207 that weekend, roundtrip, but the fares may increase or decrease by Saturday). If I'm going by myself, then I might take half of Monday off and take the Amtrak. The return leg is on rail sale, but the train out would be full fare because of Halloween. That would be about 130 total fare roundtrip, and I'd sack at the youth hostel on Saturday night. I'd prefer not to drive alone, but if I had a group of four other people with at least a couple licensed drivers with good records, and gas money, then I'd be willing to do that as well.
Ah, it was 352gialloblu, which is different than Greddy in both spelling and pronounciation. Interesting.
if in fact we do make it to the playoffs, i hope to see you guys there. And i also hope to see you guys in chicago on the away leg. But right now, im not so sure its going to be DC in the playoffs. Every season MLS fans become better and better. I love it.
I don't see a reason why I would not organize another bus trip to DC then. We would leave in the morning on Saturday and leave DC in the morning on Sunday. Probable cost: around $70-$80 plus match ticket. It would be good to check Amtrak connections, too. Marcin
In an episode of incredibly bad forsight on my part, I tragically have my DC-living Grandparents coming to visit me on the 1st. We have tickets for the Philadelphia Orchestra. Once I discovered the conflict, I had hoped the game might be Sunday, in which case I'd be there. But, as it is, I can't go, or even watch...
Of course, because a few weeks ago you knew we'd possibly be playing in DC on that night. No, wait...
I'm going to make the trip up unless the car breaks again. If that happens I'm renting a car and coming anyway. Call it the "Infamous Forget Rent, the Fire are more important Tour of ought-three"
Contact me offline for Dan Giffin's info for a group buy. I won't be going, but I can provide info for who I've worked with before at DC United. kirsten
I could but.... My last car race of the year was just moved from 10/25 to 11/01. This means that if it is DC on Saturday, I can't go. If it is Columbus on Saturday, I can't go. Only if it is Columbus on Friday or Sunday (again), I can go. If I can't go, what is the point for me to organize a road trip? On the second thought though, I am going to make a reservation for a bus to DC for 11/01. Marcin
If no one else has jumped on this one, I'm going to try to organize a watch party at The Black Rock (Damen and Addison). The bar manager seemed pretty open to showing Fire games as long as it doesn't interfere with their usual rugby programming. Future updates as events warrant. Baby!
I think there used to be watch parties aplenty at Black Rock. I know for a fact when Hamburg SV was here the reception for thier supporters group was there.
