That said, I had an weird feeling about this match. If Sweden goes through, I can't see them not winning the gold. Well, that's unless they play Germany. If there is one team that frightens Sweden, it's Germany. They've never been able to crack Sylvia's side in important matches.

The number of yellows is misleading -- there's been contact but all seem to be behaving pretty well towards each other, despite some painful looking incidental contact. Nice to see.

bunkering has always happened, but it's happening with more frequency and success this year in important men's and women's tournaments. in the future, can we put Britney Griner or another WNBA players on our team for headers? that would be the most efficient way to break this ho-hum-dull-drum type of game. Let's see the swedes defends 6'8.

 

And so far, at least, with the same less success.

 

Watching the perfect line of Swedish defenders, one can't help but think it's not a bunker, it's a wall. A huge wall! We're gonna build it and Brazil's gonna pay for it!
