SP. BRAGA-BOAVISTA, 2-2 (Zé Carlos 32', Hélder Rosário [pb] 42') 2-1 at half-time. 2 red cards for accumulations of yellow cards, one for each team. This results frees Benfica alone in the third position w/ a game in hand.
There's a chance Braga will get Joao Tomas back by the middle or end of this month; if they don't that would mean his team in Saudi Arabia will have purchased his pass for $1.7 milllion Euros (and activated the clause in the loan which they have the option to buy). Either way Braga will come up winning. Currently JTomas is 3rd in scoring in the Saudi League w/ 8 goals (5 behind the leader) :http://www.ojogo.pt/22-317/artigo601925.htm
Sp. Braga-Portimonense, 5-2 Cup game. The visitors scored first. Braga tied it 10 minutes later and controlled the game from then on. The new player in the January acquisitions, the Peruvian defender Rodriguez wasn't picked for this match.
Sp. Braga's Uefa cup next opponent , Parma, re-inforced the team. . . http://www.uefa.com/competitions/uefacup/news/kind=1/newsid=494554.html
Braga signs Vasco da Gama player Andrade. Leaving is South Korean Kim Dong Hyun to club Rubin in his homeland on loan , and Cândido Costa sold to Belenenses .
NACIONAL-SP. BRAGA, 0-0 Sporting Braga dominated the first half, but wasn't able to score. The reverse happened in the complementary period. A fair result , reflecting what transpired on the pitch.
2 days after rescinding his contract w/ Braga, Hugo Leal says he will take off the rest of the season to get back in shape and recover completely from his muscle related injuries by perhaps working out with a physical therapist: http://diariodigital.sapo.pt/news.asp?section_id=125&id_news=258754
They dont need him. Bragas board is superb. Not onmly did they sign one of the brazilian leagues best midfielders Andrade, they also signed a peruvian international CB for 400,000. simply amazing aquistions. Makes Benficas board look like clowns in strark contrast..ffs spending 3.5 million on a sh!t like marcel.
I think I read somewhere that this purchase was made w/ the agreement that he would eventually go on to Porto... i.e., he'll be going to Braga on a loan w/ the understanding that Porto will have priority to acquire him in hte future. Can anyone confirm this or was I just dreaming?
