This sounds pretty good. Mental note: need to see Mean Machine.

It almost sounds like Eastbound and Down, but Kenny Powers hates soccer

If he can pull it off..... this movie could be epic.

As a lifelong Hammers supporter, he must be pretty miserable right about now football-wise...

...of course being a giant movie star, comedic genius and married to a mammtacular popstress, he's probably much more un-miserable right about now.

I've always really liked Brand ever since stumbling upon him hosting some British music awards show. I'd never heard of him but he was hilarious, so I Googled him and found this gem. Still one of the funniest things I've seen him do -- and it's what he does best, just ramble on with a foul and formidable command of the English language.

It's an acceptance speech video he sent to some awards show after he won. Quality.

    Here's hoping the film's decent.

Jason Statham as The Monk, a psychopathic goalkeeper (even by goalkeeper standards), is awesome.
