Parma won again, 2-1, and is now three points clear of the relegation zone. Rossi started and played a good game, not outstanding. He set up the first goal with an excellent individual move, dribbling a couple of defenders before sliding a pass to his attack partner Budan. Rossi was subbed out with about fifteen minutes to play, got a big ovation.
Actaully he was subbed out in about the 65th minute wasn't he? So basically midway through the 2nd half. It looks like they replaced him with a midfielder (Morpheo) - possibly trying to protect their 1 goal lead. Backfired though as Cagliari scored their equalizer a couple minutes later. Parma is now suprisingly high in the table --- 13th out of 20. That said, the lower half of the table in Serie A is so tight that even at #13 - they are only 3 points above the relegation zone. That said, the arrival of Rossi and Ranieri have really changed this team around... and with 4 games to go, they look like they may avoid relegation.
Morfeo (that's the correct spelling) is a light-weight attacking midfielder, so Parma wasn't protecting anything by putting him in. In terms of when Rossi was subbed out, Allycks was probably at the game and going on memory (not stat sheets).
