Rossi starts in a new formation brought about by the lack of striker options, a 4-5-1 with Rossi up top and Ibagaza, Mati, and Cazorla the 3 attacking midfielders behind him. Jozy is on the bench and is likely to see a lot of time, being the only healthy forward option.

    Good luck Jozy (and Rossi).

Also looks like Marcos Senna is out for some reason. Get ready for a bad game for Villarreal.

Sorry, I lied: Pellegrini sticks with the 4-4-2, and Jozy gets the start with ROssi (Mati is on the bench).

El Villarreal jugará con: Diego López, Javi Venta, Fuentes, Cygan, Capdevilla, Cazorla, Eguren, Bruno, Ibagaza; Rossi y Altidore.

Lot's of long balls to Jozy so far, he has a nice cross to Rossi, who is too short to reach it.

Nice run and cross by Jozy. Rossi can't convert the header.

Great to see Jozy get the start. A win here brings Villarreal into second place ahead of Madrid.

Nice to see Villarreal do so well considering they play such attractive football.

It's like a breath of fresh air watching Villarreal after watching Fulham.

Jozy and the midfielders don't seem to be on the same page. Not sure if it's Jozy or the midfielders' fault. He keeps trying to get behind the defenders and the midfielders either don't anticipate the run or just don't think he's fast enough to make it work?

Wonderful and fast run from Jozy. Amazing. His sliding left footed shot is at the keeper though. Damn.

There it is! They put him in behind the defense, he outruns his defender, cuts back and gets a (weak) shot off that the keeper kick saves.

Jozy looks like a (physical) beast. He has the tools to succeed once he settles in and learns the Spanish and Villarreal game.

And followed it up with a quick drop off and another good run that stretched the defense.

This commentator's fake Spanish pronunciation is a bit annoying.

They're starting Pascal Cygan in central defense, and missing the best player of the league in Marcos Senna. What do you expect?

Altidore controls a shaky cross in the box with his back to the goal, passes off to Cazorla, who hits the side netting.

Nice little hold up there and pass in the box by Jozy

Tough angle though for Cazorla on the shot.

Jozy with a nice layoff in the box (after a nice collection of a loose ball) but the other dude takes a bad touch, loses the angle and puts it into the side netting.
