Yet another step backwards for Ronaldo and Inter. I think his departure is all but done. http://www.soccernet.com/europe/news/2002/0811/20020811ronaldo.html
Ronaldo is one of the very few players at this time that could actually get a large transfer fee from another club. I think Inter is going to sell him and then use that money to shore up the backline.
If Ronaldo really wanted to stay he would have called a press conference stating he has no intention of leaving. He hasn't done this yet. Meaning he really doesn't want to be at Inter. His value may never again reach what it is today so Inter should sell him. What happens when Ronaldo tears his knee up again? He played about 75 min. per game for Brazil in 6 games in a month. Can he stand up for 90 min. a game in 40+ games a year? That is what Inter should be thinking about.
The title ESPN gave to the article is misleading. Nowhere have I seen that R9 is "refusing" to train with the team. The official word is that he arrived later than everyone else and is training seperately, usually with Emre. But then again he was left off of the CL roster, so maybe something is brewing.
Cuper Names Champions League Squad, No Ronaldo Inter coach Hector Cuper has revealed the squad that he will take to Portugal for Wednesday's Champions League qualifier against Sporting Lisbon, and the somewhat unsurprising news is that Ronaldo has been left out. Nerazzrri Squad: Toldo, Fontana, J. Zanetti, Adani, Cannavaro, Coco, Cordoba, Pasquale, Sorondo, Materazzi, Conceicao, Almeyda, Dalmat, Di Biagio, Guly, Morfeo, Kallon, Vieri, Recoba, Corradi SoccerAge
Ronaldo has finally stated why he wants to leave inter. This from www.soccerage.com Ronaldo has revealed some of the reasons as to why he is keen to leave Inter. The Brazilian forward is set for talks with president Massimo Moratti to help resolve his future. "It has nothing to do with money matters," he told Gazzettino. "My way of playing football is one in the Brazilian style. It's based on fantasy, and less on the tactical style of the Italian game. "It is closer to the Spanish version than the one in Serie A." He did, however, say that he hoped to win back the fans support when he scored his first goals of the new season. Ronaldo has been left out of Inter's squad to face Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League qualifier on Wednesday. See you guys, Ronaldo doesn't want to leave that badly. He would just prefer la liga. But as he said he knows he's staying at inter and wants to score more goals. Everyone just made a big deal cause he's ronaldo. If you look at their website, when he trains he's still smiling. Half of this crap was dumb rumours
I'm not so sure, soccerfan220, he's either 100% black and blue, or he's 100% not. There can be no in between.
retnic, I did hear on Sky that Ronaldo is refusing to train until his future is decided. Ronaldo admits he doesn't like Serie A Ronaldo has admitted he does not enjoy Italian football and would prefer to play in Spain... Tribal Football *Soccerfan, after mods have edited your posts why are you STILL posting entire articles???
