I think this would be appropriate in the Romário thread. Also known as the "former genius, current madman" thread.

And something about chickens should be in the title.

Yeah, I was about to post something about this incident. It's so odd that I think it deserves a thread just for it. Maybe I'll merge it with the Romario topic later.

    Who's the real chicken?

Am I the only one disgusted by this whole affair?

The chicken guy clearly makes no attempt at fighting, but big bad Romario and his two associates begin to assault him. Its easy to "lay down the law" when you outnumber your opponent 3-to-1. Who's the real chicken here?

What makes this more revolting is the timing of the incident - this was NOT a spontaneous angry reaction in the heat of the moment. Romario had time to leave the pitch, shower, and change before going after this guy. Sounds premeditated to me. I hope he gets the maximum penalty possible for that kind of crap.

Loved him as a player, and as a character, but this was totally over the top.....actually, quite pathetic.

It was definitely a pre-meditated attack. The very first thing I noticed about this incident was that Romario was wearing a regular shirt and some jeans. :D It was sort of funny - he wasn't even playing at the time he attacked.

How the hell did Vasco's coach manage him and Edmundo?
