Premier League approves takeover deal from Todd Boehly consortium https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/61490237
Politics aside the end of arguably the greatest football owner in the history of the sport:- https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/news/roman-abramovich-statement-chelsea-boehly-24087809 The guy promised to deliver..........and he bloody well delivered, all at his own personal cost. Thanks for the incredible journey Roman.
Just got a peek at next year’s kit at a Pele Soccer store in Downtown Disney. Should have snapped a pic, but…pretty basic. Chelsea blue with no field. 3 as the sponsor. Blue Nike swoosh outlined in teal. White elastic crew collar with a teal squiggle pattern. One button opening at the neck. Super basic. EDIT: Looks like it’s out there: https://amp.footyheadlines.com/4449852082808621402/
Buck stays on as a senior advisor and Marina Granovskaia will be leaving. They will be replaced by "business people" of the new regime and the vacnat role of Sporting Director/DoF will be filled.
All the ducks in a row, All the ducks swimming in the water, all the ducks moving towards the Promised Land. etc., Under the guidance of the new blokes and blokesses.
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...irman-after-20-years-in-role-roman-abramovich Granovskaia is leaving apparently, she has looked after transfers and player contracts since 2013. She started working for Roman in in 1997 when she joined Sibneft. So. There is that whole ally of Putin thing going on.
I know a new owner wants his own people, but losing Marina and Cech feels like cleaning house in a way that doesn’t return value or build confidence. I guess it depends on who replaces them and what they do (or don’t).
Well Marina had to go. She worked intimately with Russian Oligarchy. She worked at Sibneft before coming to Chelsea. She is a buddy of Putin. . . .apparently. And Cech. Yeah. We are looking to hire a Director of Football. So that might have something to do with it? On the other hand we are keeping Buck around in a consultant capacity.
Do we know who exactly is or isn’t in camp? Haven’t seen too much talk of Mount or Pulisic? Trying to get a gauge of who we might see in Vegas later this month.
Tom Glick is our new 'President of Business'. President of Business. https://www.mixedarticle.com/chelsea-announces-tom-glick-as-the-new-president
Any guesses on our initial starting eleven? My wishful thinking… Mendy James-Silva-KK-Chillwell Kante-Gallagher (or Kova) Mount Sterling-Kai-Pulisic Maybe Pulisic and Sterling play the same side, but I’d still rather have them on the field.
I doubt we come out in a 4-3-3 mendy Azpi Silva k2 James Jorgi Kova chilly Mount Kai Sterling that’s what I think we see
https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-fc-stamford-bridge-improvements-b1017952.html Boehly-Clearlake plan to enhance the fan experience with improvements to the West Stand, new signage and ‘kinetic feature wall with club pattern’ installed. The marquee “Chelsea FC” logo on the West Stand entrance will be updated with new vertical banners showing how many trophies the club has won over its almost 120-year history. There will also be a mural behind the Shed End featuring lyrics from ‘Blue is the Colour’.
