Once met Ndamukong Suh for a work function many years ago. Nice guy but goddamn he was imposing. I'm a big guy myself, 6'2 but he had two inches on me and looked like he could bench press me with his pinkies.
lol a group of friends tried to win me over by bringing me to a Yankees game. Half my bank account on beers and concession food later i still fell asleep in the stands.
Baseball is not quite as far as golf on the "the ideal way to watch this sport is by putting it on TV and taking a nap in a comfy chair" spectrum, but its on the spectrum for sure. Still love it though. Not entirely sure why. Love is not supposed to be rational after all.
Friendly against Bournemouth to be shown free on the 5th stand https://chelseafc.onelink.me/1WUW/4d94f8a0 Here's a link from The 5th Stand, Chelsea FC's official app: Bournemouth pre-season game announced
https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2...letter&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter “Jorginho has commented on speculation that he could be in with a shout of being named this year’s winner of the coveted Ballon d’Or prize.” Um…
That ESL again: Juventus, Real Madrd and Barcelona have won a court ruling saying that UEFA would have no power to stop a breakaway league. The "elite" sides are meeting at the end of August and they have asked UEFA to send a representative to the meeting to cover this and some proposed rule changes in open dialogue. I rather doubt that UEFA will be interested in sending anyone. IF it was merely a way of trying to put some pressure on the governing body, it really has been a miserable failure on all levels.
Whether uefa can stop it or not seems a moot point. I don't think the clubs who pulled out have further commercial interest given the backlash from the fans. No doubt the likes of the glazers are having conversations on the down low, but publically cant see them supporting any such venture for the next few seasons. Eventually it will re-emerge but will be a while.
That's if Barca sill exist (did you see that statement about their credit rating) and Perez doesn't bankrupt Madrid (Hey, let's blow a ton of money on a 29 year old defender). Also, the ruling was made in Madrid, Spain, quelle surprise. Still need rulings from Europe, I believe. And considering 9 of the teams backed out, I would be surprised if it went through again, especially considering the backlash and how poorly planned the whole thing has been.
The English FA would have be considered impotent if they cannot prevent the top PL clubs from "re-joining" the ESL.
Sounds like a total cock up. I'd be fuming if these were my seats (and based on this, these would have been my seats back in the day). Hopefully none of our friends here are missing out. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2...egarding-the-shed-stand-and-the-matthew-hardi
No I am in West lower. I noticed the missing seats at the Spuds game. It will be great to have rail seating and standing once permitted again but a huge cock up
It sucks but seems like their at least doing things right with refund of price, travel and free UCL group game.
It's a decent gesture but not everyone can get into london midweek and no limited refund is going to make up for not being back at the bridge for the first epl game in forever. Honestly, I can only speak for how I would react and I would be gutted.
Of course people will be gutted but it’s life, it’s not fair. Shit happens and we have to deal. They could just prorate a return and call it a day. Those season ticket holders aren’t going to all of a sudden say f this I’ll never go to a game again. It’s obviously not idea and they’re trying to fix but it’s a solid gesture to make up for it.
Not sure I saw this posted. https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsl...2e0034beb81f-1000--positional-award-nominees/ My completely unbiased picks: Mendy Big Tone N'Golo Haaland
European Club Association (ECA) membership. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham, as well AC Milan, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid have re-joined the ECA until 2023. Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus have not been reinstated. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/58233907 Barcelona are in the poor house https://www.skysports.com/football/...bn-as-joan-laporta-slams-josep-maria-bartomeu
He’s going to miss more than that. He will likely miss the next two. Then need time to work his way back in. Looks like he’s back to super sub duty
Timing is not good. Yes, he needs a run of games. Starts. He needs to build a relationship with the big new guy Romelu.
