I went to the newly opened Nasher Sculpture Garden in Dallas today. Rodin's Honore de Balzac is there. I've cried in front of movies and paintings and operas and symponies before. But never in front of a sculpure until now.
Rodin's museum, while brief, was one of my favorite places in Paris. His sculpture is simply amazing. I have some great photos of it, but I don't have them online anywhere. Anyway, if you are in Paris with ~2 hours to spend on your art jones, it is a great little musuem. Conversely, if you can't get to Paris go to Philadelphia, which has it's own Rodin musuem for reasons unbeknownst to me, but they have a decent collection.
