Don't think he's the next big thing actually. Not that impressed with what he's shown so far, but ok, he's young.

Why not there, don't know, but possible reasons:
    1) His transfer to Europe. The most likely reason actually.
    2) Oiwa thinks others are better. But who?

Only 2 FC Tokyo players finally, No Kashif, injured again it seems, although hard to get any info. Tawaratsumida was never tried, should have been, he might not be the next big thing either, but sure has had some great games, and even younger than Matsuki.

Yes FC Tokyo first said he was in discussions for a transfer (likely Southampton) then they tried to correct themselves but it was too late.
Suzuki we don't know. Probably like you said

Think Ryunosuke Sato followed the Olympics Team to Paris as well?
Well, Araki is there as part of the squad.

I hope for a win today against Paraguay, arguably, their strongest opponent in the group.

I have no clue about their oponents at youth level at all. Hope that Japan can go far, even more, cause of the fact, that there is no overage player.

Riku Handa is injured, Kaito Suzuki replaces him and Takashi Uchino will take a place in the reserves.

The Paraguayan player Wilder Viera has been tossed out with a straight red card in the 25th minute.

Well deserved. The opposition has behaved like a bunch of reckless donkeys and it was about time someone pays for it.

That doesn't look good for Yu Hirakawa. He had to be stretchered off the field in the 35th minute.

Isn't there a local broadcaster that has a free streaming service on your end? I'm watching the whole thing through an app by Radio-Canada (the French-speaking half of the CBC). I can watch about anything of my own choice and it's free for as long as I have a Canadian IP address.
