I see that Figueroa has 172 caps, which is tied for twelfth all-time, and he's five behind Mexican Claudio Suarez for the Concacaf record. Suarez is eighth in world history with 177, and Malaysia's Soh Chin Ann leads with 222 in under 15 years from 1969 through 1984. Kuwait's Bader Al-Mutawa, Oman's Ahmed Bubarak, Spain's Sergio Ramos, and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo are the only active players with more caps. The other active Concacaf players in the all-time top 100 are Mexico's Andres Guardado with 168, USA's Michael Bradley with 151 (Wikipedia calls him active but he may not play for the national team again), and Costa Rica's Celso Borges with 138. Garcia and Costa Rica's Bryan Ruiz are in a five-way tie for 101st.

Fox Soccer's Alexi Lalas, who is 18th in USA's history with 96 caps, predicts you to finish third. Maurice Edu, who is tied for 58th on USA with 46 caps, predicts Canada to finish third. ELO's order is Mexico-USA-Canada-Costa Rica-Jamaica-Panama-El Salvador. FIFA will update their rankings on Thursday August 12. They haven't updated all summer, so I'm not posting them.

    MLS, not bad.

Seriously though how many MLS teams are they know? When I first read that I assumed it was USL, I can't keep up!

Over 30 and likely to be more, I remember following MLS more back then and people being excited about Montreal joining the League.

Hope that he can get game time and not just get loaned out to the B-Team, considering his age they will likely treat him as a project

I thought he was surprisingly decent from the bit I saw of him in the pre-olympics. Might have been Arriaga he filled in for at CDM but I was surprised.

    Best of luck to him.

That many teams and no promotion/relegation, bit of a joke really.

Yeah there could easily be a few more with the appetite for soccer in the US.

Promotion and Relegation will never happen because Franchises these days have to pay something like 500 million in order to join the league, the owners will never agree to that.

How do we rate this transfer window?

Deybi to Greece, Rubio back to Segundo Divisao and of course Elis to Bordeux when that deal finally comes through.

I don't know if it's because of Messi's move but I'm actually rely excited to see him play in Ligue 1. Apart from PSG and recently Lille it's usually quite a balanced league with different teams circulating round the top. That's not always the case in some of the top European leagues.

I've seen Panama have now got 3 players in Segunda in Spain and 1 that recently moved from there to the MLS.

Realistically we'll be fighting for those lasts 2 spots so it's interesting to see how other teams in the region are doing. Any team looking to qualify will be relying on other results going their way, I can see this being the most competitive qualifying yet.

This transfer window is ok considering how awful it went for us these tournaments. Elis will play in a better League, Deybi was finally transferred and Rubio still needs to step up.

If we manage to stay healthy then I’m not that worried, Quioto and Najar need to be on the NT though.

As adequate as the transfer window was the re-emergence of Quioto and Najar is massive, they could be fundamental in this process.

Particularly excited about Najar, he's been around so long you forget he's still only 28. Just don't want to get my hopes up as you never know if there's an injury round the corner with him.

DC staff seem to be doing all the right things at the moment though!

Denil Maldonado still hasn't featured for Everton since rejoining them, he was on the bench last night in a Cup game.

Disappointing he's not getting any playing time if we're wanting him to start for the qualifiers...

Kinda tough to get playing time when duty calls...

He didn't do pre-season with the club. Rehabbed the entire time in order to get ready for Tokyo... Missed more games... Had to quarantine returning from Tokyo... Just returned from isolation.. looks like he'll be missing out again due to impending WCQ..

Tough to blame him when we're causing it lol

You're spot on, plus with his position he's less likely to see minutes getting thrown in the second halves of games to mix it up.

As long as if arrives for and ready for September!
