http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/15/rich-whitney-listed-as-wh_n_763948.html It's probably not funny . . . . but's its ********ing hilarious! Leave it to Illinois. Green Party candidate Rich Whitney's name was misspelled on electronic voting machines.
I know. Had this mistake occurred down state instead of Chicago, he probably would have done significantly better.
Like Chris M, said, if this occurs downstate, the Green Party gets it's highest profile win ever in the US.
Well, while they are misspelling things, perhaps they can remove the "n" in Green Party and replace it with a "d".
Well, sure, but how would they be any different from the Tea Party? All for tax cuts, yet having little clue as to what to cut in terms of budget at the federal level... that's the very definition of greed Maybe it's time to give Rich Whitey a chance...I am starting to almost feel bad about never voting for W.....Oh, wait....I voted for Kerry,,,How was that any different? At least i didn't vote for MccCain this time around...though i probably would have voted for him in his 2000 version of himself.....
Actually, it's kind of funny in a prescient sort of way: Green candidates tend to be pretty damn white and rich.
I'll certainly agree with you concerning the PDW (pretty damn white) aspect, but not necessarily being rich. In fact, my experience with green party candidates (including a friend of mine in NYC) has shown that they more often come from professions not traditionally thought of as a precursor to a political career. They often came from either an academic or non-profit background. And if anything, I think they are frequently dismissed for not having the polish that comes from experience in the corporate/legal sector nor given the respect that is automatically granted for having personal wealth.
