Whatever else Akanji did today, that ball on the assist was brilliant. Not quite as brilliant as Haaland's header, but really great.
Sure, that doesn't make him a left back though. Left CENTERback, yes, but if someone playing that role is being evaluated through the lens of them being a left back, that analysis is going to be really skewed.
Really nice except for two heavy touches, the one at the end of the game is quite unfortunate, but I think that was him not being ready for the pass. The anticipation will come.
