No Sancho. He’s just so gone. Too bad.

 

Gio could not handle a pass giving Hoffenheim a counterattacking chance

 

Not great from Gio so far, couple misplaced passes, does well to get on the ball once, trips over it another time. Playing mostly centrally.

 

Just missed on an assist chance.

 

With a different run, Reyna's pass would have given Hazard a great chance.

 

Aesthetically this game is a nightmare. The yellow jerseys + sun + color shade of grass = barf.

 

Wow, way too easy for Hoffenheim.

 

Seems like he’s been given a good bit of freedom to roam.

 

How has Gio looked relative to his teammates?

 

Hard to say. The team has been poor, lost possession a lot. Defense not good and that's not really on Gio. But, he's taking up a lot of central spaces and not doing much. He hasn't really helped much if not being the obvious weak link. He had a moment where a step in another direction and he would have given Hazard a great chance. Gave the ball away a couple times. Generally sub-par as was the team.

 

More horrific defense, nothing to do with Gio there.

 

NIghtmare of a game, 4 goals to Kramaric . Done.

 

I haven't been watching closely. Has he taken a shot yet? It's 4-0. Shoot, Gio, shoot!
