15th minute...Rapids are dominating midfield. I guess that's what happens when you start you two best midfielders at forward.
18th minute, Tierney with a nice cross in to Ralston who is tripped in the box. Penalty! Rally puts it away, and we're all tied.
28th minute. Revs win 2nd corner in last few minutes. Comes to nothing. Revs doing a much better job getting the ball wide now.
Car issues (yeah, again... stupid thing) keep me home today. Really fast game, good to see the boys really pushing and actually getting some shots
Do you have the DK feed or the channel 38? I've got to rely on DK, since U-verse doesn't pick up 38. Crap... BBK is hurt. Reis is out, Simmons is hurt, but I guess he can play if he needs to.
Looks like he's going to be ok. I'll say this for him - that was a nice job clearing the ball from his box. I like Reis better in most aspects of his game, but there is no way Reis makes that play. Good play by the kid.
Casey sees yellow for cleaning out Alston. Poor Alston, pays the price for the battle Casey and Osei have been having all game.
Half-time. Revs started slow, but looked much better in the final 30 minutes. I missed the first five minutes, including the Rapids goal, but since then the back line has played well, particularly Osei who has been battling with Casey all game.
Good half. We look a lot better than we have the past couple games. Hopefully we can keep it up for the next 45 and get another one. Ralston looks good, and seems to be the spark that was needed (like we didn't know that ).
I'm jealous. I love my u-verse, but I don't get 38 and I can't get DK, so I'm reduced to the online version of DK. Balboa made an interesting point on the Rapids broadcast. He spoke to Mariner earlier in the week about how the Revs were dealing with the injuries and how it affected their lineups and formations. PM said that the Revs try to keep to a 4-4-2, with one forward a little more advanced then the other. They were pleased with SJ's play last week as he gave them a forward with the ability to receive, hold and distribute the ball to the 3 other players coming moving into the attack from deeper. He said it was the first time they've had that ability since Twellman went down.
I didn't have it until I moved up here from CT. Watched away games on mlslive.tv and home games at the stadium He does seem to have settled into the role as well as he can be expected to. Brings an interesting dimension to the front line.
75th minute. Still 1-1. Casey/Osei still battling - Osei has done a nice job with him so far today. Nyassi is coming in for Wells, who I thought quietly played an effective game. Nothing flashy, but he played a much better possession game then he usually does - both winning and holding the ball.
Casey off to protect him from getting a second yellow. Serenaded off with boos, which sound like they came from the whole stadium.
Damn. Rapids almost score after another turnover by Phelan. He, Barnes and Osei have been just gifting the ball to the Rapids in the 2nd half.
The biggest problem the Revs have -- well, aside from the two midfield guys playing forward -- is that there is now absolutely nobosy who has idea about how to run the midfield. When is Castro coming back? Oh, yeah, Phelan is really bad.
