Kraft isn't going to miss out on charging 5,000 people 100 bucks apiece.

I've heard parking will be free for STHs at the Revs/ManU game, but nothing finalized for Spain/US yet.

Now the next question is ... will they still allow those of us that are in the supporter's groups to park in that lot or will we have to park in the STH lot?

To be fair (and I do try and do that) ... the ticketing for this game will be more controlled by USSF, since this is their event (I believe they'll even set the prices, not the Revs).

I expressed my disappointment with the FO for not including the Man U game in our package, and this is the reply:

    Hi John –
Although I will pass along your disappointment to management, I do want to take a moment and explain the reasoning behind this.

One of the main reasons is that we are holding this special event for a MLS related match. On the other side, it is a significant difference in pricing. For example, your seating location is $252 for the entire season of 18 matches, meaning you are paying only $14 per match. That same seat for the Manchester United match is valued at $50, the equivalent of over 3 matches during the season. Other teams who have included a match like this for their season ticket holders, you will find, have significantly higher prices for their season ticket rates. For example, the Seattle Sounders equivalent to your season ticket is $519 for the season… a full $267 more than you paid for your season ticket. We could charge that difference up front like Seattle, but what if we were unable to bring in such a high caliber match??

The front office would rather have season ticket holders have the opportunity to buy tickets for this highly anticipated match, rather than have you pay upfront. Season ticket holders are having a significant pre-sale over the general public, and receiving a discounted rate. If this ticket were included within your season ticket package, we would also be completely unable to sit you with additional people who wanted to join you for this match, or select different seating categories, which I’m sure is a large reason why the match will be so much fun. Also for this match, the Front Office has waived the $40 parking fee for season ticket holders, as an added bonus.

Although I do understand why season ticket holders may believe that the Manchester United match being included in their package would have been a nice benefit, these are the reasons why that did not happen. Of course we would like to reward our fans as often as we can, which is why we came up with other benefits to this match.

Pre-sale information including ticket pricing will be emailed out to all season ticket holders in full detail this afternoon. If you have any other questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Is that true? I know our ST prices are pretty reasonable overall, especially for the Fort. Does Seattle really charge $29 for their end zone/supporter seats, including whatever ST discount? I could see if that was the regular, retail walk up price (ours is $22).

    Anyone know for sure?

quick look at the seattles site says GA tickets behind the goal are $436 for a 1 year commintment, $342.50 for a two year. $519 would be at the corners

I should have noted that my tickets are in the corner (102 to be exact). However, I would argue that Seattle's product, from a perspective of game day experience rather than on-field play, is more valuable and enables them to charge more.

For me, the decision to include the game in the STH package shouldn't necessarily be about dollars and cents but about doing the right thing and maintaining a good relationship with key customers. This is just another thing that people will remember when making the decision to renew or not...

This is where your ticket rep's "logic" falls apart.

No, they couldn't charge the difference "up front" like Seattle because that would effectively mean doubling the season ticket price to haul out to Foxboro.

They'd be lucky to get 3K a game if they matched Seattle's pricing.

Hint to ticket rep: GAS COSTS MONEY, TOO and GILLETTE IS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE

I'm feeling more and more like a sucker for re-upping.

Interesting. It would be helpful to get confirmation of that pricing rationale, for each of these:

    • ManU v Seattle - included
    • ManU v Chicago - included
    • ManU v Barcelona @ DC - included
    • Newcastle v KC - included

I created a thread for USA vs Spain because I think the issues for that game are seperate from Revs vs Spain.

    https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1697094 (Revs board)

https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=23101038 (USA Fans & Travel Board)

Things are still being finalized for the game so it's really impossible to announce anything at this time other than the stuff that is standard for USA games. If you're looking to get tickets in the supporters section you can buy those tickets through AO. If you're more into the swanky seats in the Morgue you can buy them directly through USSF.

Not to get anybodies hopes up but from what I've been reading, this is a semi-tournament and isn't a one off thing so though we don't get the Man U game we could get another big team as part of the ST package. We could play the likes of Barcelona or one of the other teams that haven't been announced yet. I think there is eight teams that are gonna play in the World Football Challenge. So far the confirmed teams are The Revs, Chicago, Barcelona, and Man U, With other teams still unannounced.

The Revs have already announced ManU, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say here?

Just got a STH email from the team and it looks like we won't even have the option to purchase our same seats for the Manchester United game. The USMNT game I understand but this is a Revolution event.

Its nice they're doing a presale and all but at the prices they're charging it doesn't really feel like they're doing me a favor. On top of that I can't even get the same seats I've been sitting in for years. This is the reward I get for dragging friends out to that horrible Joe Public game a couple years back?

I can only imagine the "VIP" midfield seating in the first few rows has already been given away to corporate sponsors or Man U people or something, it would have been nice though if the Revs put their loyal fans first for once.

Yeah, the copy reads that you can buy tickets but nothing about getting your same seats:

"Revs STHs may purchase up to 2 times the number of season seats on theiraccount at the discounted price ($80) and an unlimited number of tickets at full price ($100)"

You can extra tickets but I don't see anything about reserving the seats you normally have. Maybe I'm reading into it and I'd have to call my account rep to be sure but it doesn't sound to me like you're able to get the same seats you normally have during the year.

Not until US Soccer puts them on sale. So you'll know as soon as we know.
