Revolution claim Game 1: Blank MetroStars, 2-0, in playoff opener By Gus Martins Heaps' glancing blow a knockout for Revs By Gus Martins MetroStars' defeat gets ugly BY COLIN STEPHENSON Revs Take Upper Hand by MLSNET [rant]Nothing but an AP summary in the Boston Globe - way to be a Major League Sports newspaper! This is the playoffs, cowboy! Must have been too far to send a reporter? Best Sports section in the country my a$$... most biased, maybe. [/rant] (edit) Just looked at my Sunday Globe hard copy - there IS a game report and some postgame notes from FDA, however I still don't see them online.
Tony: The Globe's site is up. Match report made the first edition, too. Tim: Great stuff, as always. It's too bad that Pepe gets absolutely NO protection from the officiating crews. That, IMHO, is total BS. What's been allowed to happen to him is nothing short of a crime, especially when they've played those thugs from NY/NJ [Joe DiGi: I hope you have an eternal headache]. Thankfully, Pepe's a smart athlete.
