The two 2022 SuperDraft picks both get the start in game one: Justin Jackson in net, Ben Reveno at CB. Damian Rivera with a busy day: scored twice, drew a PK, had his PK saved, and earned a yellow card. Reveno had his shootout PK saved, but the final two NYC2 shooters both hit the crossbar to give Meny Silva the chance to win it for R2 (which he did).
It was very windy yesterday. In the 1st half R2 had no control of CM, and the defense looked terrible. Reveno was probably the worst offender, being at fault on the 2nd goal and also conceding a penalty that Jackson saved. Rivera and Fujiwaru looked pretty good, and Silva had a couple nice passages of play. Michel improved in the 2nd half. Big questions were: where are Kizza and Pressley?
